The following formulas refer to the calculation of a straight quadrangular pyramid


Radius to the side \(\displaystyle r_s=\frac{a}{2}\)
Radius to the vertex \(\displaystyle r_v=\sqrt{({r_s}^2+{r_s}^2)}\)
Slant height \(\displaystyle m=\sqrt{h^2+{r_s}^2}\)
Lateral edge length \(\displaystyle k=\sqrt{m^2+{r_s}^2}\)
Slant area \(\displaystyle A_S=\frac{m · a}{2}\)
Lateral Surface \(\displaystyle A_L=\frac{m · P}{2}\)    \(\displaystyle = 2 · a · \sqrt{h^2+\frac{a^2}{4}}\)
Base area \(\displaystyle A=a^2\)
Surface area \(\displaystyle S=A+M\)
Base perimeter \(\displaystyle P=4·a\)
Volume \(\displaystyle V=\frac{A · h}{3}\)
Height \(\displaystyle h=\frac{3·V}{A} \)    \(\displaystyle =\sqrt{m^2-{r_s}^2}\)
