Rhomboid Calculation

A rhomboid is a quadrangular geometric shape and has the following characteristics

  • It has four sides and four corners
  • The angles of the opposite corners are identical
  • The opposite sides are parallel to each other and are the same length
  • The diagonals have different lengths

  • Area
A = b · ha A = a · hb A=a · b· sin(α)
  • Length
a = A / hb a = A / (b · sin(α)) a = A / (b · sin(β))
  • Width
b = A / ha b = A / (a · sin(α)) b = A / (a · sin(β))
  • Height a
ha = A / b ha = sin(α) · a ha = sin(β) · a
  • Hright b
hb = A / a hb = sin(α) ·b hb = sin(β) ·b
  • Perimeter
P = 2 ·(a + b) P = 2 · (ha / sin(α)) + (2 · b)  
  • Diagonal e
e = √a² + b² - 2 · a · b · cos(β)  
  • Diagonal f
f = √a² + b² - 2 · a · b · cos(α)  
  • Angle Alpha
α = asin(A / (a · b))
