Calculator and formulas for calculating the height of a trapezoid using side and angle
This function calculates the height of a trapezoid using the side length and an angle. To calculate the height, enter the length of the sides b and the angle β or γ. Alternatively, the length of the sides d and the α or δ be used.
Side length \(b\) and angle \(β\) or \( γ\)
Side length \(d\) and angle \(α\) or \( δ\)

The height of the trapezoid can be calculated by use of the side length b and the angles β or Γ. Alternatively, the side length d and the angles α or δ can be used.
\(\displaystyle Height = Side\space length · sin(Angle) \)
\(\displaystyle h=b · sin(β) \) ⇒ \(\displaystyle h=d · sin(α) \)
\(\displaystyle h=b · sin(γ) \) ⇒ \(\displaystyle h=d · sin(δ) \)
The height of the trapezoid can be calculated using the parallel sides a and c and the area A.
\(\displaystyle Höhe =\frac{2 · Fläche}{Seite + Seite } \) ⇒ \(\displaystyle h =\frac{2 · A}{a + c} \)
