Calculator and formulas for an oblique prism
This function calculates various parameters of an oblique prism. In an oblique prism, the top surface is shifted horizontally in relation to the base surface. The sides are made up of parallelograms.
To perform the calculation, enter the number of vertices, the side length of the base a, the angle α and the height or the side length b. Then click on the 'Calculate' button.

Base area
\(\displaystyle A = \frac{n \cdot a^2 }{4 \cdot tan(\frac{π}{n})}\)
Surface
\(\displaystyle S = 2\cdot A + n \cdot a \cdot h\)
Height
\(\displaystyle h= b\cdot sin(α)\)
Length (b)
\(\displaystyle b= \frac{h}{ sin(α)}\)
Volume
\(\displaystyle V= \frac{n \cdot h \cdot a^2}{ 4 \cdot tan\left(\frac{π}{n}\right)}\;=A\cdot h\)
